Stephen Michael Young II was born on January 20, 1976, in Bunkie, Louisiana. He received Christ as his Savior as a child at Parkview Baptist Church (SBC) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was later licensed and ordained.
He and his wife Loaise have been married for ten years. They have one son named Nilson.
Stephen graduated from Parkview Baptist High School and received his B.A. in Religion from East Texas Baptist University. He is working on his Masters of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Active in ministry for more than 16 years, Stephen has served as a youth minister at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Vivian, Louisiana, the pastor of Pine Hill Baptist Church in Pine Hill, Texas; and as minister to single adults at Parkview Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. For the past decade he has been serving as a missionary in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Stephen's current project is to work with local churches in the baptist association of Juiz de Fora, starting evangelistic family bible studies, teaching and modeling the idea of an oral Bible, and providing a methodology for evangelism, pastor training, and church multiplication.
